DISCOVER THE NEW MONTHLY RANKED SEASONS!
Back to news

Hey riders! Monster Energy Supercross 25 – The Official Video Game is finally in your hands, but the challenge has just begun. There’s new content awaiting you for endless hours of on-track fun. Check out the new Ranked Seasons.

Starting from May 5th, you will find new themed challenges and quests each month. You will need to join special Ranked Playlists to earn points, climb the ranks, and collect new and exclusive customization gear to show the world your skills.

The Playlists

Once you enter the Multiplayer menu, you will be presented with the Playlists, a series of races set on different tracks and classes where you can show off your skills and challenge players from all over the world. These playlists can be Ranked or Not Ranked. The Ranked playlists consist of a set of 450SX class Main Events, with One Shot sessions set to Short. The tracks selected for the Ranked Playlists will be exclusively the Supercross ones from the 2025 season, unlike the Not Ranked Playlists which will also include MX and UGC tracks.

You will be able to join the Ranked Playlists at any time, and these will be the only Playlists valid for gaining points to receive the customization prizes and climbing the ranks to have your name appear on the global leaderboard.

The calendar

Starting in May, and every first Monday of the month thereafter, a new season will begin with special challenges and quests.

Ranks and prizes

There will be five ranks that can be climbed by collecting points: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Hero. For every 100 points you earn, you will move up one tier until you reach the last one, where you can continue to earn points to improve your position on the leaderboard. Each of these ranks, except for Hero, has three tiers. So, if you want to climb from Bronze to Silver, you will start at Bronze 3, then you have to reach Bronze 2, then Bronze 1 to get to Silver 3 and so on.

Based on your rank at the end of the season, you will receive a themed piece of gear to add to your rider customization. If you finish a season at the highest rank, you will automatically receive the prizes of the lower ones. Those who reach the Hero rank won’t receive any additional gear on top of the Platinum prizes, but their name will appear on the global leaderboard that can be seen in the Multiplayer Hub. An extra piece of gear can be earned by completing the monthly quests, regardless of the rank.

Bronze: No gear

Silver: Boots

Gold: Helmet livery

Platinum: Suit livery

Hero: No extra gear, but you appear in the celebratory leaderboard

Bonus quest: Goggles

At the end of each season, ranks and points are reset. Everyone will return to the lowest tier of their previous rank, so if you reach the Gold 1, Gold 2 or Gold 3 tier, you will start in the next season at Silver 3. Bronze and Silver players will all start from the Bronze 3 tier the following season. If you miss one or more seasons, your rank will be reset twice, so if you reach Gold 1 you will restart at Bronze 3.

Points

When playing the Ranked Playlists, you will gain or lose points based on your race results. The first classified will receive 75 points, and the last one will get -25 points. Based on the number of players in a single race, the points awarded to players from second to second to last will vary, but the first and the last will always receive these amounts.

There will also be two bonuses that will give you extra points in a race: Holeshot and Underdog. If you are the player claiming the Holeshot at the start, you will get a bonus. For the Underdog, the matchmaking system will always try to create equal lobbies based on players’ skills. But if you end up in a lobby with a higher skill level, no worries! You will receive the special Underdog bonus.

There are also other situations where you can lose points, such as disconnecting from the lobby during a race, being inactive on the track, or playing irresponsibly. These behaviors will cause you to be automatically AFK or DNF, which will result in a points penalty.

We can’t wait to see you all on track to claim the top of the leaderboard and receive incredible prizes. See you on May 5th for the first unmissable season; grab your time machines, we are going back to the dawn of Supercross!
