We must momentarily interrupt your races, because we have an important announcement to make: Ranked Team Races are finally here!
To help you best prepare for what’s coming, here’s all the info on how they work.
Soon, you will find a new kind of competition in the Multiplayer menu: an online team race featuring teams of three players. In the mode via the Arcade menu and in unranked multiplayer, each KO made and your finishing position will determine your final score.
This will be converted into a positive or negative value that will affect your rank progression.
Once you enter a match, you will be automatically assigned to a leader or member role.
Races will remain balanced, thanks to the cars’ characteristics, where members are better suited to fighting and executing KOs, and leaders are the perfect example of pure speed.
By collecting points, you will climb the available ranks.
Starting from Copper, you will rise higher and higher until you reach the final rank, Diamond, where you can continue to accumulate points to improve your leaderboard position.
Points don’t expire, but you can lose them if you finish in the lowest places in races, and in some cases that create an automatic AFK or DNF, such as inactivity or losing connection.
Once you reach the Silver rank, it is possible to be demoted to the previous rank if you lose points.
If you are formidable Screamers and win with your team three times in a row, you will be able to activate the “win streak” bonus, which will further multiply your points.
The bonus will automatically deactivate after the first race in which your team doesn’t reach the top step of the podium.
