The MotoGP World Championship is back: each enthusiast will once again find all the faithfully reproduced official riders, tracks and bikes of the 2008 season. It's possible to compete in 125cc, 250cc and MotoGP classes impersonating great champions such as Marco Simoncelli, Casey Stoner, Andrea Dovizioso, Nicky Hayden, Loris Capirossi, Valentino "The Doctor" Rossi and many more. All the official tracks are present, with the debut of Indianapolis and Qatar, the latter in an evocative night version. MotoGP lets the gamer relive the MotoGP experience faithfully reproducing a realistic riding experience. Rookies don't despair: in order to make a game for all there are three different riding models: arcade, intermediate and simulation. Depending on the choice the bike handling will change from easy and accessible to very realistic. In arcade mode, it will be possible to turn at full speed, braking and leaning at the last minute, while in simulation mode the gamer will have to apply the correct pressure to throttle and brakes, choose the best line and modulate the throttle when exiting a turn to avoid dangerous falls. Offline game modes are five: Career, Challenges, Championship, Quick Race and Time Attack. The new Career game mode makes the player the protagonist of a personal rise to glory. After creating his own rider, the player will have to make his way to the top starting with a minor team in the 125cc class until he reaches the king of the classes through overtakes, podiums and victories. The player will have the ability to get the right bike setup for each track by changing gear ratio, suspensions, handling and tires. Through the years it will also be possible to better the bike, improving its performances. The objective is to reach the MotoGP class within 5 years, possibly as Valentino's team mate! Challenges are made up of 50 different events that put to the test the player ability in different context such as bike handling, braking skills, pure speed and overtakes. For each passed challenge there's a wonderful MotoGP postcard. Championship mode allows the player to take part in the whole championship impersonating an official rider and racing all tracks free practices, qualifying sessions and races. Quick Race and Time Attack complete the single player offer: with Quick race the player goes right into action on the track, while in Time Attack he can race with no opponents to better his own lap time. Xbox Live and Gamespy online modes let the player challenge up to 12 other enthusiasts all over the world.
